Some Examples of Impact Printer :
Daisywheel
Like a ball head typewriter, this type of printer has a plastic or metal wheel on which each character's shape stands comfortably. A hammer presses the wheel pres against the ribbon, creating a character ink on the twisted paper. Daisy wheel printers produce letter-quality prints but cannot print graphics.
Dot Matrix
Make characters by hitting the pins against the ink ribbon. Each pin is a drop, and a combination of points from character and reflection.
Line Printer
Pins are a series of letters that print an entire line at a time. Line printers are very fast, but produce low quality prints. Drum Printers and China Printers are subdivisions of line printers.
